Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 August 2026
This policy explains what ComputingLifeSci collects, why, and what control you have over it.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address, and your name if you provide one. Passwords are stored only as bcrypt hashes and are never readable by us.
- Sign-in record — the date and time you last signed in, and how many times you have signed in. This tells us whether the site is being used. We never store your IP address; see “How we measure the site” below for what we do record about page visits, and how it is kept separate from your identity.
- Learning activity — which chapters you mark complete and which you bookmark, so progress tracking works.
- Billing records — subscription status, payment amounts, dates and Razorpay reference IDs.
What we do not collect
We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Payment information is handled entirely by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We receive only a payment reference and its status.
There are no third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site. Nothing about your visit is sent to Google, Meta or anyone else.
How we measure the site
We count page views and a small number of product events — a plan being viewed, a form being sent — on our own server. No cookie is set, no third party is involved, and none of it is tied to you as a person.
To tell one visitor from another within a single day, we store a one-way hash of your IP address and browser, mixed with a secret that changes every night. The result cannot be turned back into an IP address, and the same person is a different, unlinkable value tomorrow. We never store the referring web address itself, only the site it came from, and we strip the query string from every page address so search terms and sign-in links are never recorded.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we record nothing at all.
How we use it
Your data is used to operate the Service: authenticating you, showing your progress, granting subscription access, and sending transactional email about your account or payments. We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing.
Third parties we rely on
- Razorpay — payment processing and subscription management
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google, in which case we receive your name, email and profile picture
Retention
Account and progress data is kept while your account exists. Billing records are retained for seven years, as required by Indian tax law, even after account deletion.
Your rights
You can delete your account yourself, without asking anyone, from your dashboard under “Your data”. You do not need to email us and we do not review the request.
Deleting erases your name, email address, sign-in credentials, reading progress, bookmarks, reviews and site rating, and strips your name and address from any message you sent us through the contact form. It cannot be undone.
Two things survive it, and we would rather say so here than have you find out later. Records of payments you have made are kept for seven years because Indian tax law requires it — but they are left attached to an account with no name or email on it, so they are no longer personal data about you. And anonymous page-view counts stay in our totals, with the link to your account removed; they never identified you in the first place.
If you have a subscription that is still running, cancel it first — on the same page — so that you are not charged again after the account is gone. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Cookies
We set two cookies, and neither is used for tracking. One keeps you signed in. The other remembers whether you chose to see prices in rupees or dollars. There are no advertising cookies, and our analytics set no cookie at all — which is why this site shows no cookie-consent banner.
